Why I ran for Congress.
The United States is the greatest country in the world and I am lucky to have been born here. No other system has allowed the freedom and prosperity that the American people have created for themselves and shared with the world.
After serving my country as a Naval officer in Vietnam and receiving my education at two of America’s finest universities, Duke and Dartmouth, I ran my own business for 40 years. I wanted government to let me run my business without heavy-handed interference. I cannot stand idly by as Nancy Pelosi, Bill Pascrell and the current Congress give us the highest budget deficits and the greatest expansion of government into our lives that we have ever seen.
Bill Pascrell is supposed to represent our interests, yet has supported the Pelosi agenda every step of the way. His votes for higher taxes, more government spending, and more government intrusion into our lives will lead to higher taxes, massive job losses and a stagnant economy at a time when the people of Essex and Passaic Counties are struggling. He has not represented the people of this district well and he needs to go.
I believe that lower taxes and free market principles are a better way to create jobs and bring our economy back. Washington politicians and their armies of bureaucrats cannot make intelligent choices for 300 million individual men, women, and children.
With your help, I will bring a fiscally conservative businessman’s perspective to Washington, DC, and replace career politician Bill Pascrell.
