Energy Policy

Develop a reasonable energy policy.

Reasonably priced energy is the engine that makes America’s economy the greatest in the world. We must keep the price of energy reasonable by increasing supply.

We should pursue a multi track solution- while continuing to use more traditional sources of energy in the most environmentally sensitive way possible, we should also continue to develop and promote renewable energy sources. All sources of energy must be on the table.

Such a policy is not only a matter of economic self-preservation, but national security. Simply put, we currently put too much money in the pockets of those who wish us harm, and finance global terror with many of our oil dollars.

The massive tax increase on energy (Cap and Trade) passed by Bill Pascrell and Nancy Pelosi will increase the cost of energy to the point where it will make our businesses less competitive in the global economy. It will also lead to more job losses and further damage our fragile economy.  Therefore, I am against the cap and trade bill.
